Abstract:
Objective: To observe the efficacy and side effects of local injection of recombinant human interferon α1b (IFN-α1b) injection in the treatment of children verruca vulgaris. Methods: 116 cases of Verruca vulgaris were divided randomly into two groups, 58 cases in the treatment group and 58 cases in the control group. Conduct standard disinfection to treatment group, then extract appropriate amount of recombinant human IFN-α1b solution to inject verruca vulgaris at the base, until the verruca vulgaris local skin white, interval injection once a week and observe its effect. Use CO2 laser to treat control group, after using the same method of disinfection, directly burn the Verruca vulgaris through CO2 laser. Referral in a month, follow up after six months. Results: The local injection performs redness (3 cases), no blisters or infection in treatment group. While swelling (58 cases), vesicles (28 cases), or infection (9 cases) happens in control group. Compared to laser treatment, injection of IFN--α1b demonstrated similar efficacy, lower recurrence rate and fewer scars, pigmentation and other side effects. Conclusion: Local injection of recombinant human IFN-α1b have significant effect in the treatment of verruca vulgaris, low recurrence rate and few side effects, so it is worthy of clinical promotion.
