Abstract:
Objective: To probe into the efficacy of different administration methods of interferon α1b in children with infectious mononucleosis. Methods: Totally 120 children diagnosed with infectious mononucleosis were extracted to be divided into the observation group and the control group via the random number table, with 60 cases in each group. The observation group was given 2 µg/kg interferon α1b injection and added into 4 mL of normal saline for aerosol inhalation for 15 min, twice a day. The control group received intramuscular injection of 1 µg/kg interferon α1b injection, once a day. And 2 mg/kg ganciclovir were given intravenously twice a day for two groups. All treatment courses were 5 d. The clinical efficacy and adverse drug reactions of two groups were compared. Results: The relief time of fever and the improvement time of pharyngitis in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the disappearance time of atypical lymphocytes, the recovery time of liver and spleen and lymph nodes, the rate of EB virus negative conversion and the recovery of immune function between two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Aerosol inhalation of interferon α1b injection in the treatment of children with infectious mononucleosis can improve symptoms more quickly and has better medication safety, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
Key words:  interferon α1b injection  infectious mononucleosis  aerosol inhalation
