| Abstract: |
| Objective: To assess the safety, efficacy, economy and social adaptability of the use of sorting equipment in Pharmacy
Intravenous Admixture Services ( PIVAS) through health technology assessment methods, and to provide evidence-based medical
evidence for the use of sorting equipment in PIVAS. Methods: PubMed, EMBase, Web of Science, Wanfang, CNKI, VIP and
SinoMed databases were retrieved from the database establishment to Mar. 2024. After screening the literature according to the preset
inclusion and exclusion criteria, data extraction was conducted. Results: A total of 19 studies were included. The research types were
17 pre-post control studies and 2 experience sharing studies. Through extracting the data of the literature, the evaluation indicators
related to the sorting equipment were obtained. The results indicated that sorting equipment could reduce sorting errors and improve
medication safety, demonstrating safety; sorting equipment could increase sorting speed and decrease sorting time, indicating
effectiveness. Additionally, sorting equipment could reduce the number of wrestling leaks and save labor costs, reflecting the economy;
sorting equipment could simplify the sorting process, reduce the intensity of sorting, and improve clinical satisfaction, showing social
adaptability. Conclusion: The use of sorting equipment in PIVAS is considered relatively reliable in terms of safety and efficacy.
However, due to the scarcity of evidence regarding economic feasibility and social suitability, further supplementary studies are required. |
