| Abstract: |
| Objective: To evaluate the safety, efficacy, economy and social adaptability of application of labeling equipment in the
Pharmacy Intravenous Admixture Services (PIVAS) through health technology assessment, and to provide evidence-based medical
evidence for the application of labeling equipment in PIVAS. Methods: PubMed, EMBase, Web of Science, CBM, CNKI, VIP and
Wanfang databases were retrieved from the establishment of the databases to Mar. 2024. Literature screening and data extraction were
performed based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: A total of 19 articles were enrolled, including 17 before-andafter
studies, 1 experience-sharing article and 1 review. By extracting data from the literature, evaluation indicators related to labeling
equipment were obtained. Labeling equipment could reduce labeling errors with higher safety, improve the labeling speed and shorten the
labeling time, save labor costs with higher economy, and reduce the intensity of work with higher social adaptability. Conclusion: The
application of labeling equipment in PIVAS is reliable in terms of safety and effectiveness. However, there is limited evidence regarding
the economy and social adaptability, further supplementary studies are required. |
