| Abstract: |
| Objective: To explore the efficacy of ambroxol combined with budesonide nebulization inhalation in the prevention of
bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in preterm infants and its effects on the levels of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), procalcitonin (PCT),
and endothelin-1 (ET-1). Methods: A total of 106 premature infants admitted into our hospital from Jan. 2023 to May 2024 were
selected to be divided into the control group (received conventional preventive therapy) and experimental group (received ambroxol
combined with budesonide nebulization inhalation and conventional preventive therapy) via the random number table method, with 53
cases in each group. The treatment-related indicators, occurrence of BPD, blood gas analysis indicators, lung function indicators,
serological indicators, and adverse drug reactions were compared between two groups. Results: The oxygen inhalation time, mechanical
ventilation time, and incidence of BPD in the experimental group were shorter or lower than those in the control group (P<0. 05). After
treatment, both groups showed an increase in arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2 ) and tidal volume (VT), and a decrease in
arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2 ), respiratory rate (RR), peak inspiratory pressure (PIP), IL-6, PCT, and ET-1,
and the experimental group showed more conspicuous increases and decreases in these indicators (P<0. 05). The incidence of adverse
drug reactions in the control group (22. 64%) was not statistically different from that in the experimental group (35. 85%, P>0. 05).
Conclusion: The combined use of ambroxol and budesonide nebulization inhalation can effectively shorten the oxygen inhalation time and
mechanical ventilation time in premature infants, reduce the incidence of BPD, improve blood gas indicators, lung function indicators
and serological indicators, without increasing the incidence of adverse drug reactions. |
