| Abstract: |
| Objective: To analyze the whole-process pharmaceutical intervention for child who developed pulmonary Mucormycosis following
chemotherapy for leukemia. The patient’s disease progressed continuously despite conventional systemic antifungal therapy. Based on
evidence-based medical evidence and clinical guidelines for mycosis, clinical pharmacists implemented standardized pharmaceutical
interventions and optimized the regimen of bronchoscopic localized amphotericin B instillation, providing professional recommendations
covering antifungal agent selection, dosage adjustment, solution preparation specifications, and therapeutic course. Following the clinical
application of the optimized regimen, the patient’s clinical symptoms were significantly relieved, abnormal pulmonary imaging lesions
were markedly absorbed, and pulmonary Mucormycosis was effectively controlled. This whole-process pharmaceutical care model provides
practical reference for clinical pharmacists participating into the treatment of refractory invasive fungal infections and standardizing
rational antifungal medication in children with hematological malignancies. |
