Abstract:
Objective: To summarize the current research status, hotspots, and future development direction of biologic therapies for pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (PIBD) worldwide, and to provide references for clinical practice and research. Methods: A systematic search of the Web of Science Core Collection was conducted for literature on biologic therapies for PIBD published from Jan. 1st , 2000 to May 31st , 2025. Visualization tools, including VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the R-based Bibliometrix package, were employed to analyze countries, institutions, authors, and keywords. Results: A total of 1,270 publications were included. The annual publication output demonstrated sustained growth, peaking at 112 articles in 2022. Key research hotspots centered on biologics such as infliximab, therapeutic drug monitoring, and individualized treatment strategies. Analysis of keyword bursts and thematic evolution indicated aparadigm shift from anti-tumor necrosis factor-α agents toward precision medicine and holistic lifecycle management. Conclusion:Research on biologic therapies for PIBD is advancing rapidly, with an increasing emphasis on individualized and precision-basedapproaches. Future studies should prioritize long-term safety profiles and sustained therapeutic efficacy in children.
